Finally February is OVER!

I really haven't been meaning to not post anything until March...it just happened that way. February has been horrible! First, on the 7th, this happened...

This looks all fun and games now, but it was TRAUMATIC!! Carly was standing on my office chair and Joni was wheeling her around and the wheels caught on some socks on the floor and down the chair and Carly went. She just laid there and cried. (lay? laid? lye? never know how to use this word correctly!) For the next several hours, she just ?laid? her head on my shoulder and didn't move. (That hasn't happened since she was a baby!) I felt horrible, or course, and she HATED putting that pink soft cast on. After 3 days, the Orthopedic Doc took off the pink cast- she was thrilled!- only to put on the hard purple cast- screaming mess. (Silver lining- Tom was at the Doc with me... Joni got to pick out the cast color because when Joni broke her arm when she was 15 months, Brooklyn picked out the cast color- green and blue.)
Carly has done so well with this cast! Summer-salts, dancing, and pretty much a happy girl. I think she will get it off tomorrow!!!!

Next, we all got sick. When I say sick, I mean SICK! It started with me...fever, cold, cough, virus, wait it out...for 3 weeks. Horrible. After a few days, Joni got it...fever, cold, cough, missing school, taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen every 3 hours...for 3 days, day and night. (Maybe this is why I was sick for so long...didn't sleep for the first couple of nights after Carly broke her arm, didn't sleep well when I got sick, didn't sleep at all when Joni got sick...) Then Carly got it...fever, cold, cough- hence croup, puking, not sleeping, taking medicine every 3 hours. (And steroids for the croup) Then Brooklyn, then Tom. You get the idea. Tom is now on antibiotics for a sinus infection. Hopefully we are DONE!

We missed church for 2 weeks, Carly 3 weeks. (I can't get rid of the stinkin'  boogers!)But we have survived!

So, welcome March. You will be wonderful.
